Lisa is a Hospital-based IBCLC providing both in-patient and out-patient services. She has experience working in a large medical center with NICU and high-risk infants and mothers, in addition to her current role in a small community based facility.
As a former Nutritionist specializing in Maternal and Infant Nutrition, she offers an evidence-based approach to her assessments and plan of care. Lisa is a graduate of The University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Lisa regularly teaches breastfeeding classes, including classes for mothers returning to work, and breastfeeding multiples. She also leads the only Baby Cafe in the state of North Carolina. She is a member of The International Lactation Consultants Association, The United States Lactation Consultants Association, The North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition, and the North Carolina Lactation Consultants Association. Lisa is the mother of 4 children, including twins, who were all breastfed.
